Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) • Elevated Temperature
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we work to keep our students and staff healthy, please monitor your child for signs and symptoms of illness before sending them to school.
HAND, FOOT & MOUTH DISEASE (HFMD)
• Fever
• Sore throat
• Mouth sores or blisters
• Rash or small blisters on the hands, feet, or other areas of the body
• Decreased appetite or unusual tiredness
CONJUNCTIVITIS (PINK EYE)
• Red or pink eyes
• Eye drainage or discharge
• Swollen eyelids
• Crusting or difficulty opening the eyes
• Complaints of eye irritation, itching, or discomfort
ELEVATED TEMPERATURE / FEVER
• Please check your child’s temperature if they appear warm, tired, or unwell.
• A child with a fever should remain home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
If your child is exhibiting signs or symptoms of illness, please keep them home, monitor their symptoms, and contact your child’s healthcare provider when appropriate.
